Bernard van Leer Foundation

As the Dutch entrepreneur Bernard van Leer was deeply touched by the Second World War’s devastation, he decided to invest in improving society. The mission of his foundation is ‘to improve opportunities for young children growing up in circumstances of social and economic disadvantage’. The assumption is that a good and fair start in life does not only benefit the children themselves, but the it is of major importance for the creation of a peaceful, affluent and creative society.

VBJK worked on several projects for and with the Bernard van Leer Foundation and contributed to the creation of different materials, focussing on social inclusion and the richness of diversity.
