Together with City of Ghent and Ghent University VBJK will host the annual ISSA Conference in Ghent. For Belgian policymakers, researchers, educators, practioners and other professionals involveld this is an unique opportunity to attend.
ISSA 2017 explores the major challenges and opportunities we face today in building competent early childhood systems.
Competent ECEC system
The speed of the changes in today’s world requires substantial shifts in the ways early childhood systems are designed, equipped, governed, financed and supported, if we are to capitalize on the tremendous importance that early childhood development has for children, families and communities.
That's why ISSA 2017 is all about professionalisation within the competent system. Keynotes, workshops and fieldvisits fit into three major themes:
- competent early childhood workforce and services
- a competent early childhood inter-institutional environment
- competent early chilchood governance and policies
